Last Week’s Gospel
In the book of Matthew (Mt 18: 21-35), we find a parable shared by Jesus that delivers a strong message of forgiveness, compassion, and the importance of treating others with kindness and mercy.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells the story of a servant who owed a great debt to his master. When he could not repay, the master, out of compassion, forgave the entire debt. However, this same servant went on to confront a fellow servant who owed him a much smaller amount and showed no mercy, despite having received such grace himself. When the master learned of this, he condemned the unforgiving servant, emphasising the importance of forgiveness in our lives.
As a school community, we strive to reinforce the values of forgiveness, empathy, and compassion in our students. This parable serves as a reminder of the significance of these virtues in building a harmonious and caring community. We encourage our students to learn about God's forgiveness and to extend it to their fellow peers, teachers, and everyone they encounter in their journey of learning and growth.
May we find inspiration in this parable to be forgiving, compassionate, and understanding, as we work together to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our students.
Last week, I travelled to Holy Spirit College, Bellambi with Xavier and Tayah, our School Vice Captains to be part of the launch of Catholic Mission Month. We look forward to October where we will learn more about the great work of Catholic Mission and raise funds to support the great work.
As Term 3 comes to a close, I give thanks for another wonderful term full of learning and growing together. I thank our amazing staff members who are continually striving to enrich our students’ lives through growth in faith and improvement in learning. I also thank you for your continued support, and I wish you all a wonderful school holiday period with your families and look forward to continuing to work with you all next term.
God Bless

Season of Creation week
During this Season of Creation (1st September to 4th October) our school has been busy participating in the following activities:
-
School liturgy to begin the Season of Creation
-
Being grateful for creation through prayer
-
Watering of our trees and gardens
-
Beginning our Creation units in Religious Education within the school
-
Reflecting on creation through meditation
-
Spending time in nature making creations with the leaves and plants that have fallen on the ground
-
Thinking about what we can do as individuals to look after our World
As followers of Christ from around the globe, we share a common call to care for creation. We are co-creators and part of all that God has made. It’s not too late for you to share in one of the following ideas with your child/ren and families:
-
Go to Mass/Church
-
Being grateful for creation through prayer
-
Enjoying some physical activities in our outdoor environments
-
Plant a garden or a tree
-
Do some gardening
-
Spending time with nature as a family or community
Here are some wonderful photos of our students who have been enjoying this Season of Creation.

Last Wednesday we travelled with Mrs Smith to Holy Spirit College in Bellambi. It was amazing to meet all the people from other schools. They were so nice. Our favourite part was getting to meet Bishop Brian and when we received the picture frame from Catholic Mission. The speakers gave us information about Socktober and why it is important to donate to charity. We will be organising some fundraising events next term.

PB4L Focus - Friday Afternoon Assembly
Our current fortnightly focus is how students can be safe, respectful and responsible when attending ‘Whole School Assembly’ on Friday afternoons. Teachers have taken the time to explicitly revise the expectations students are to follow when present at assembly, including following the 5L’s, respectfully partaking in the National Anthem and prayer, and accepting awards with pride. Students are also reminded to walk to and from assembly in two quiet lines, following the instructions of their teacher.
