Last Sunday’s Gospel...
Jesus used a number of parables in last Sunday’s gospel to explain what the Kingdom of
heaven was like. He wanted us to understand what we have to try to bring about here on
earth and what we have to look forward to. He used images, like the farmer sowing grain
because the people would have understood them. Darnel is a common week that grows
through wheat. When the field was sabotaged, while the workers panicked about the
contamination, the farmer was calm. He knew the good grain would be sorted out from the
wheat at harvest. We have to try to be like the wheat and grow good grain to feed the world.
From the Principal...
It is lovely to be back! The students and you have been very welcoming. The school is in a
lovely place thanks to the leadership of Mrs Smith and the leadership Team during Term 2. I
am very grateful for all the work they have done.
The term has started well but some of us are struggling a little with morning routines on these
cold mornings and arriving at school quite late. Remember supervision starts at 8.15am. If
you aim to get here by 8.15am you won’t be late! Aiming for 8.45am is leaving it a bit too long.
If you need any assistance with getting your children organized in the mornings, please let us
know. We are happy to help.
Also a quick reminder about the carpark. Please don’t park on the After school care bus spots
in the afternoon – there are signs, nor leave your cars at any time in the drop off Zone. Cars
need to be able to move freely. And just a gentle reminder that the afternoon dismissal bell goes at 2.55pm. It would be most helpful that all children are picked up by 3.05pm. Thank you for your help with this!
NAPLAN results are due to go out next week. We have some data showing our Year 5 classes
have done exceptionally well and our Year 3s very well too with just some questions about
reading to explore. It didn’t quite meet our expectations. We will be having a very close look at
that in the coming weeks!
Our playground is nearly complete! It has been very exciting for all of us to watch it going in.
Most of the equipment is there already. It will be concreted and they have already started on
the ground surface. We can’t wait to be able to play on it. Thank you again to the
Campbelltown Catholic Club and our P&F for supporting this project.
Many of our students are off to the soccer gala day. I am sure they will have as much fun as
those who went to the netball one. I thank our staff for all the extra work they need to do in
planning and organizing these days. They never complain!

She performed at Disneyland in LA, Universal Studios in Hollywood, attended the Radix Dance Convention (one of the largest dance conventions in the world) and participated in a dance workshop at Millenium Dance in Hollywood. She had the opportunity to meet and learn from the most credible internationally renowned professional dancers and choreographers and loved every minute of it all.
PB4L Focus - Library
Our current fortnightly focus is how students can be safe, respectful and responsible when going to the Library. Students were reminded that the Library is a calm and quiet place where they can explore books, read and listen to stories. Teachers went over how students are to care for books when using them at home and at school. Borrowing and reshelving procedures were also revised.
