Last Sunday’s Gospel
Last Sunday’s Gospel, from Matthew is a beautiful passage that reminds us of Jesus and how he tried so hard to help his disciples know the love that our God has for us and for all of creation.
Those words are words of encouragement and hope. Our challenge is to hear what is spoken to us and this also requires us to be quiet enough to listen.
Perhaps over the coming weeks, during the school holidays, we can learn to take those sacred pauses that allow us to listen to the whispers of God in our hearts, as well as to the voices of today’s followers in our world.
St Benedict’s Feast Day / Grandparents Day
Last Friday we celebrated St Benedict’s Feast Day and Grandparents Day. What began as a grey and damp morning became a beautiful sunny day! We celebrated Mass in our Church with Father Henry and then had morning tea on the playgrounds. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces - children, parents and grandparents! Open classrooms was also a wonderful opportunity for our children to share their learning with their families.
I thank our Parish, especially Father Henry, our staff and of course our students for their work and efforts in ensuring that the day ran smoothly for everyone. I also thank you all for making the time to be with us as a community, something we don’t take for granted after the last few years!
Student Reports and Parent / Teacher Interviews
Student reports for Years 1 - 6 were made available via Compass last Friday and parent / teacher interviews have been taking place across the school this week. Again, it has been wonderful to see so many people here at school. These interviews are an important part of school life and an important way we work in partnership with you all.

Thank You!
As you know, Mrs Rolfe will return as Principal at the beginning of Term 3. She is really looking forward to being back with us all and we look forward to having her back too!
I take this opportunity to thank you for all your support of the staff and myself while I have been Acting Principal. It has been a wonderful term.
I hope you are all able to have a break over the next two weeks and I look forward to seeing you all back at school in Term 3.
Netball Gala Day 2023
The Netball Gala Day was a fun experience. We had fun playing against other schools! We had a lot of fun and we got to bond with other schools. We created new friendships or had a chat with someone we hadn't talked to that much. It was SO MUCH FUN. We also showed our skills and our potential for sport, or if we weren't that good it was just a fun day of sport. But it wasn't only fun for students, our teachers had great fun as well!! We had great bonding time with our teachers and parent helpers. Overall this Netball Gala Day 2023 was very fun and made everyone happy!
