October is Mental Health Month
Many of our schools have recently engaged with R U OK day on Thursday, 9 September, offering activities with a focus on looking out for others and checking in with them. Some schools have provided various activities and strategies for “Wellbeing Week” to complement R U OK day. Further to this, October is Mental Health Month and the theme of “Tune In” from last year, continues in 2021. “Tuning in'' reminds us to develop our awareness of self, others, and the environment by becoming allies for mental health.
How can I become a mental health ally?
Where possible, we encourage schools to continue to publish resources and contacts to assist our students and their families with their mental health during this time. Below is a list of links you may find useful.
