RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REPORT with Mrs Deanna David
Greetings and many blessings to you all. Here are some updates and resources that I feel will be of benefit to you.
Feast of the Assumption
On Sunday we celebrated the Feast of the Assumption which is when according to our faith, the Holy Mother, “having completed her course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory”.
The Assumption signals the end of Mary’s earthly life and marks her return to heaven to be reunited with Jesus.
Many families have already accessed our Feast of the Assumption liturgy. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, this is the Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrKrxe3ksg0
Sacraments
Unfortunately all Sacraments are on hold due to the current pandemic. Once we know more about when these celebrations can recommence in some form, we will let you know.
Fathers Day
If you would like to share a photo of your child/ren with their father or father figure, please share the photo via email with your child’s class teacher by Monday Week 7 (next week). ** Just 1 photo per child please **
Below are some photos of the Dads in my life- my husband Ben with my three boys and myself with my Mum and Dad a few years ago (Dad is now in heaven amongst the stars).
Digital To Know, Worship and Love books and Understanding Faith
Your children’s class teacher should be posting work every so often linked to the Digital to Know Worship and Love texts. You don’t need to wait for a lesson to get online and have a look at this beautiful and useful resource.
