Mr Tabone's Retirement

Mr Frank Tabone commenced employment as a Groundsman at Holy Family School on 19 June 1989.

The ‘Catholic Identity’ described in Frank’s Role Description and Duty Statement states, “All members of the school community have a capacity to impact on the lives of others….”  Frank has fulfilled this role with dedication and hard work.  He has certainly impacted the lives of staff and students since 1989 with his friendly smile and warm greeting each morning.  Frank was born and educated in Malta and has lived in Macquarie Fields the whole time of his employment with Holy Family.

Frank was interviewed and employed by Sister Bernadette Nichols as a Groundsman for the ‘upkeep of school grounds – lawn mowing, cutting of shrubs etc, plus some general maintenance.’  Little did Frank know that there would be a need for a ride-on lawn mower, a hedger, a leaf blower, a toilet plunger, secateurs, saws, tools to match every nut, bolt and screw, edger and hoses to cover the length and width of the school.

The whole School community joins with Mrs Rolfe our Principal, and all the Principals since Sister Bernadette, to wish ‘Mr Tabone’ a happy, healthy and safe retirement.

May he enjoy the blessings of his wonderful children and grandchildren.

May God grant you always …

                a sunbeam to warm you,

                a moonbeam to charm you,

a sheltering angel so nothing can harm you,

                laughter to cheer you,

                faithful friends near you,

and whenever you pray, heaven to hear you.
