Last Sunday’s Gospel
Last Sunday’s Gospel was the Parable of the Mustard Seed. This parable teaches us about the Kingdom of God. This makes me think that just as seeds grow quietly and steadily (when we water them!), so does God's work in our lives (when we nurture our relationship with Him through prayer, participation in Mass and in how we treat each other). The mustard seed, though the smallest, grows into the largest of garden plants, symbolising how even small acts of faith can lead to great things.
Let us remember patience and faith, especially at this time of the year when there is lots of sickness about and we are a little weary, knowing that our small efforts can contribute to making our community a place of love, hope and peace.
Wellbeing Student Workshops
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Cameron Brown, from ‘Explore, Discover, Act’ came to Holy Family to lead Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 through different workshops aimed at developing strong social and emotional skills that also develop leadership skills. The workshops delved into crucial themes such as self-efficacy, positive relationships, and a growth mindset. They were highly interactive workshops and the students and staff reported that they were highly engaging and really support the work we are doing here at school in building positive relationships and self esteem.

Kindergarten Enrolments 2025
Miss Laidlaw and I have officially wrapped up Kindergarten interviews for the Kindergarten students of 2025. It has been a pleasure to meet so many families who wish a Catholic Education for their child. Families can expect to hear about their enrolment status at Holy Family during Week 9 of this term. Something that I hear often from parents is what a good name Holy Family has in the local community. I feel blessed to lead such a wonderful school community, with dedicated teachers, engaged students who treat each other with kindness and compassion and supportive parents and carers. It is a privilege and responsibility upon us all to keep the culture and spirit of Holy Family alive and well.
Semester One Reports/Parent Teacher Interviews
As previously mentioned, Semester One Student Reports will be made available via Compass on Friday, June 28th. Parent / Teacher interviews (conferences) are now live through the conferences tab on Compass. Please ensure that you make a booking to hear about the progress your child has made this semester - they have definitely worked hard!
For all things at Holy Family, give thanks!
